Kibo cabins are the first to be designed to accommodate M240B weapons, which fire through drop flaps on three sides and were specifically requested by NATO bases. These cabins can serve as the first or last line of defence. With an internal pintle mount and firing openings on three sides (>180, <360), we have created the arrangement that every gunner wants to achieve: Firing from a defendable, armoured position, from a stable platform. Observing from behind armoured glass means a gunner's support person can easily make corrections to fire and mounting a medium machine gun on a pintle mount means a much higher rate of accurate fire is possible. Administrating the gun (or guns if required) from the armoured, controlled position, with plenty of storage, means less chance of stoppages, easier reloading from a virtually endless supply if required, much easier barrel changes (just close the armoured flap to do any changes in total cover) and easier support weapon coordination where required. This arrangement maximises the potential of any weapon system installed.
